Hi, my name is Tania Bell (she, her, hers) the Owner of Paper Kites Therapy.
If you have found yourself landing on this page, you are likely wanting to get to know more about me, and if I will understand your situation and the challenges you are facing.
My expertise is in working with parents and children. Clients come to me seeking support for their child to address and resolve behavioural or emotional difficulties, utilising research informed, therapeutic intervention such as Play Therapy. Sometimes parents and kids need support to navigate complex systems of care via advocacy and clinical consultation. I offer comprehensive assessment, with you and your child, to collaboratively address what is important to you. I also love supporting parents to work on their relationship with their children. Parents are supported to feel more confident in their parenting, as well as heal from past experiences and work towards sustaining attuned and connected relationships.
I have undertaken many years of university and post tertiary education, training and clinical practice to fine tune my professional lens and you can be certain that I will show up energised with a considered and effective approach. My work is informed by relational neuroscience and attachment, creative and expressive treatment modalities in addition to my training as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) and Play Therapist.
You may also be interested to learn that I too am a parent and also a keen gardener. I can’t help but feel these two things are quite similar. Growing plants has taught me that there is a season for everything. Parenting has taught me that it is never too late to make a repair or rework a relationship. Together we can seek ways to nurture your interconnected roots and let your leaves unfurl a bit so you can just breathe for awhile.
